We Love This True Stucco!!

Even though we're featuring the homes on top the five Mile Prairie, we did veer of the beaten path to bring you this true stucco home that can be found in West Spokane. This home was built in the 1930's by a LA doctor who later moved back to LA and built the exact home. The owner was kind enough to give us some history, they have completely redone the gardens, and the home now is a absolute jewel. I got to see some before pictures, the home was run down with ugly metal awnings on the front of the house and side door, and there was no lawn at all. The current owners have transformed this cute home into one of Spokane's must see corner homes....

"The Farm Chicks Show '09 "

If we had to choose one word to describe The Farm Chicks Show... FABULOUS ! We had a great time selling our found treasures and hand made gifts, but the best part of our show had to have been visiting with old friends and meeting all the wonderful bloggers and new customers. Thank you to all of you that came over and introduced yourselves ...it was such a privilege to meet all of you! We felt so blessed to once again be neighbors to Cindy and Barry of "Tarte". We had so many good laughs (scrape, scrape, scrape) and Auntie Joy what a doll, she became Auntie to baby Oliver, what a sweet lady.

Our hats are off to the Barn House boys!! How fun it was to see you boys in action, from building an amazing barn to the beautiful displays, we enjoyed getting to know you both!!!!! Jermone and Joe your amazing.....

Teri and Serena what more can we say but that we love you and wish you a long life and much more success. The show was truly breathtaking and inspiring.

XOXO Glad and Celia and The Husband, (he made it all happen for us, loading, unloading and reloading and delivering to many happy customers.) He's the BEST!

Five Mile Charm

We're at it again.... Here is one of our absolute favs. This architectural gem was built in 1937 and sold to the present owners (Norm and his wife of 43 years) for 7 seven thousand dollars. Norm put it best when he said "this house is old but so are we"... What a cute man!

The little cottage that sits just behind the main house was the original home, it was built in the 1800's.

This is just one of the original barns that were built on the prairie, 100 years ago.

oh look there's another bird....

Blogger Badge

As we get ready to head to The Farm Chicks Show this weekend, June 6th & 7th we are excited to present our Blogger Badge. We are looking forward to meeting all the other bloggers.... After many attempts to glue (mostly our fingers together) we have managed to finish! As much fun as we did have making our badge, we ended up only making one. We used a mix of materials.. tulle, Shabby fabrics and vintage buttons. We adorned the front with the cutest crown pin that we found hidden in a jewelry box we purchased at one of our many early morning sales.

Hope you enjoy all the Blogger Badges , we look forward to seeing everyone this week-end. http://campwhimsy.typepad.com/my_weblog/2009/04/make-a-blog-badge-for-the-farm-chicks-show.html
