"I believe! I believe! I believe! "

Yes, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love , generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. How dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus! There would be no child like faith then, no romance, no magic to make tolerable this existence. Not believe in Santa Claus! You might as well not believe in faires!...The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor (grown-ups) can see. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view...The beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Thank God! He lives, and lives forever. A thousand years from now, ten thousand years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood.

We hope your Christmas is truly special. Our wish is for you to create lasting memories and traditions with family and friends. Wishing you all a magical Christmas~from our homes to yours... xoxo Glad & Celia

Birthday fun!

This past weekend the kids and I went to the cutest Birthday Party...

Some of you might remember the little boy from Oliver's 1st Birthday, his name is Franklin, he was the little one with the most adorable smile and bright blue eyes...
Of course I forgot my camera.(With 5 kids that can happen)

The theme was a camp out~ That included flannel shirts (which is such a big fashion right now..) Suspenders, hiking boots and great food. The chili was fabulous and Oliver loved those little oyster crackers, just his size.

As we were heading out the door the kids received their little goody bags that were ~OH SO CUTE~ I must shareThese bags were full of trail mix...isnt that the cutest idea ever????

Hope you enjoyed your weekend as much as we did...

Childrens Rooms Take 2

My sweet Charlie~
Charlie is my middle son, he is a very spirited child... Charlie's love of collecting is growing. (Probably from dragging him to all those early morning estate sales..He's my picker)

His little shelf is filled with vintage giraffe mugs, silly finger puppets, wooden C and a vintage giraffe card...
I asked Charlie if there was something he wanted to start a collection of and his pick was old vintage flashlights, he said he wanted to be just like Uncle Michael~
He loves to display his school work, pictures of friends and family and not to forget his police badges....

Can't forget the doggies, one little puppy has found an old fishing vest. (Charlie says he's already to go fishing with Grampi)

If my Cop Charlie could have anything in the world it would be to live in this little police station.....

Fun Design Ideas for Childrens Rooms

Now that the weather is getting cooler, and we're spending more and more time inside I thought I would share a little bit of my home with all of you.
Oliver's room is painted a neutral color, the alphabet was hand painted with muted orange, green and grays, all earthy colors. His little room is so calm and inviting. The burlap banner I made for Oliver's 1st birthday hangs over his window. This picture was taken when Oliver was about 2 weeks old by Barb Chase (Fine Art Photograghy)

Oliver's Ugly Doll collection that I had started for him before he was born is stored in a vintage laundry basket.
A vintage frame repurposed into a cork board.
I used an old buffett as a changing table. ~ Much cuter than a normal changing table....
