For The Birds....

We will be featuring some of the charming homes and farms on The Five Mile Prairie, the prairie is beautiful this time of year. Our "Mad Hatter Vintage Flea Market" scheduled for October 2nd and 3rd will be another season to enjoy the colors of the prairie.. This little farm is just a stones throw from the grange. Every day as I drive the boys to and from school the cute little display of bird houses and garden items catches my eye. So I decided to ask the owners if we could feature their home on our blog and whaaallllaaa.....

I hope you can stop and enjoy the birds...... Come again soon and to see the next of our featured homes and farms..... Take time to enjoy the simple things in life .

Happy Mothers Day!!!

What a busy day, it started around six thirty am. I was up getting baseball outfits together, making sure that Dylan and Charlie had their baseball mits, helmets, bats, gloves, need I say more... Then we were off to Opening Day ceremony for Little League. As they lined up with their teams, Red Socks and Pirates and sang the National Anthem, they all looked so cute..but, the highlight of the day for Charlie had to of been seeing" Otto" The Spokane Indians Mascot. Then off once more to make Charlie's 3 o'clock game at one end of town and then to Dylan's 4 thirty game in the middle of town. Finally were home and it takes all that is left in me to feed the boys a healthy dinner consisting of cereal and pop tarts....

Now that they are all tucked into their own beds I sit back and reflect on my mother... What a fabulous mother she is.. As a child I remember all the running around she did for my sister, brother and myself.. From piano lessons, tap and ballet for my sister and me and then not to forget gymnastics, swim lessons, and going to the bike shop for my brother so he could pick up the newest and neatest new bike seat, stem, peg or even a magazine, she's always put us first... Even to this day she is always sacrificing her time and self to help us out with the kids. Through out the years she has effortlessly taught us to put others first, never compromise our faith in God and be strong independent people.

She has always been the first to extend her hand when someone needed help, or to go the extra mile. What more can I say other then she has always been there for us. She is the most loving, beautifully passionate women that I have ever met. As my eyes become heavy, I must say I have been greatly blessed to have been given the most Fabulous mother in the world......

Happy Mothers Day mom I love you........
